ABOUT ME
I began my serendipitous career as a Bar mitzvah and eCommerce photographer while living in LA, photographing anything and everything that came my way. After moving back to NYC, I assisted two distinguished/generous photographers who introduced me to the world of editorial assignments. The technical and creative bar was set high, as magazines are the gold standard in photography and this required me to really hone my craft.
After opening a daylight studio in Chelsea, my roster of clients expanded to include Martha Stewart Living, Paper Magazine, Ladies’ Home Journal, Target and advertising projects. Yes, I’m known as the person behind the camera, but that's just the beginning. It required more than just pushing a button to become a finalist for Life magazine’s “Eisie” Still Life Photographer of the Year.
Photographing more than 20,000 e-commerce products taught me the nuances and subtleties required to produce commercial work on time and on budget. I was able to blend off all of the skills from my commercial work into Wedding and Event photography. The varied aspects of each event requires me to be quite flexible; A portrait photographer for the formals, a photo journalist for the ceremony and a high energy photographer for the reception/dancing.
I enjoy further developing my skills with every new project.
